There, he specialized in troubleshooting and repairing the CH-53E Super Stallion, gaining hands-on experience with complex aircraft systems in demanding environments. He transitioned into civilian aviation with Elliott Aviation, where he supported high-volume avionics upgrades tied to the Federal Aviation Administration ADS-B mandate, completing over 15 aircraft modifications across Cessna, Beechcraft, and Learjet platforms using advanced Garmin solutions.

After relocating to California, Joe advanced into a leadership role at a Van Nuys repair station, where he was promoted to Lead Installation Technician. He oversaw teams responsible for more than 50 Starlink installations across Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft, while also leading major avionics upgrades including GoGo connectivity systems, cabin management systems, and integrated flight deck retrofits on Dassault Falcon aircraft. Bringing nearly 15 years of experience to the AVEX Avionics team, Joe is known for his disciplined approach, technical precision, and commitment to regulatory excellence, delivering confidence to both his team and the aircraft owners he supports.
